Description of the Volunteer Opportunity:
BOARD SECRETARY
Christina Kent Early Childhood Center has served Albuquerque working families with quality childcare, early education, and nutritional services in a safe and nurturing environment since 1919. We seek a volunteer to serve as Secretary on its Board of Directors. Keep minutes of the meetings of Board meetings, provide notice of Board meetings, and other duties normally associated with a Board Secretary position. Knowledge of Parliamentary procedure helpful. Board members generally are asked to participate in fundraising activities and events as they are able.
Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project:
This volunteer's work will create efficiencies in Board communication and record keeping, which ultimately affect the 62 children in the program, 2 to 5 years of age, their working parents, and our teaching staff.
