Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

Susan's Legacy is looking for board members who are interested in supporting women with co-occurring mental health and addiction disorders to recover and integrate into the community. The board meets 10 times each year on the third Wednesday evening of the month. Susan's Legacy holds one to two fundraising events each year that involves board participation.

Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project: 

Women served by Susan's Legacy clients are often homeless, most are below the poverty line, and some have lost custody of their children. Susan's Legacy helps women find housing, a source of income, and helps them reunite with their children. Board members provide significant support to the agency through policy development and fundraising.
