Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

Tutors will provide one-on-one individualized support adult learners in select areas including math, reading, writing, science, and social studies. 1:1 supports student learners in literacy, pre-GED® and GED® educational functioning levels. You will assist Adult Basic Education (ABE) and GED® instructors to streamline ABQ-GED’s students into Adult Secondary Education (ASE/GED®) functioning levels to advance to a High School Equivalency Diploma. Prior tutor experience preferred but not required. Free tutor training will be provided.

Youth from 16 - 17 years of age and Adult learners from 18 years and older. Our community realizes over $1M in savings through the employment and post-secondary education transitions from graduates within our educational program cohort groups.
