Description of the Volunteer Opportunity:
As an Education Docent, you’ll present science and history programming in an informal classroom setting to students ages K-12.
The Museum hosts hundreds of students each year, who attend the Museum on school field trips. As an Education Docent, you will teach 20- and 60-minute programs, actively engage students in activities, share your enthusiasm for science or history, and project yourself as a role model for the students we serve.
As an Education Docent, you will also support the Museum’s special education events - National Nuclear Science Week (October), DiscoverSTEM Week (February), and may assist with outreach (science fairs, Scouting events, and more).

Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project:
The Museum hosts approximately 70,000 guests from around the world each year and presents programs to approximately 10,000 children. As an Education Docent, you'll inspire students to learn more about science and history.
