Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

Abruptly in September of 2013, the American Parkinson's Disease Association withdrew its funding of the Information and Referral Office housed at UNM, leaving the state with no functioning organization to support or provide information to the Parkinson's Disease Community. A group of patients and caregivers have formed a non-profit corporation and applied for our 501(c)3 status. We seek strong and dedicated community leaders to assist us in building a vibrant organization to serve this population. There is a lot of work to do.
