Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

ACEing Autism is a volunteer-driven non-profit organization. We are looking for caring, energetic people to volunteer two hours for a training and free clinic where volunteers will help us teach the game of tennis to children with autism.

All types of volunteers are welcome, from students, tennis enthusiasts, special education teachers, ABA therapists, speech-language pathologists, and occupational therapists to name a few. It is a chance for you as a volunteer to gain valuable experience helping children on the autism spectrum improve their social skills and physical fitness.

Knowing how to play tennis is not a prerequisite to volunteering!

You will be helping teach children with autism valuable social skills and great physical fitness practices.

Our goal is help these kids and their families feel that they are a part of a community, that everyone has a place on our tennis courts, and to have fun in beginning to learn the game of tennis!

We will provide a t-shirt and a training session with our Founder and the Program Director of the Rio Rancho program the day of the clinic.
