Description of the Volunteer Opportunity:

The New Mexico Parkinson’s Disease Coalition (NMPDC) is committed to helping people diagnosed with Parkinson’s, their families, and care partners, through education, resources, support and advocacy. Our board members staff the committees that direct our NMPDC programs, which offer support and healthy activities. Our annual Education Conference (attended by 300 last year) provides an opportunity to share information and connect with others. We are looking for individuals to assist our young organization, in increasing public awareness, expanding and improving program offerings, planning and implementing events, and developing a stable funding stream so that we can continue to play a central role on behalf of the NM Parkinson’s community. But anyone who is willing to learn, laugh and lend a helping hand is someone we would like to talk to.
