Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

ABQ Neighborwoods Spring planting events. Help Tree New Mexico, the Barelas neighborhood, and the Route 66 West neighborhood, plant 100 trees in each of these neighborhoods! Please wear closed toed shoes, hats, gloves, sunscreen and bring shovels and water if possible.

Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project: 

The neighbors and the neighborhoods of Barelas and Route 66 West where tree canopy cover is only at 2 to 3%. These efforts help cool the sidewalks, provide wildlife habitat, save energy and provide safer, healthier neighborhoods!

Please refrain from bringing really little children as the tree planting areas get pretty busy.
