Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

New Day is an agency that engages homeless, disconnected, and marginalized youth and their families in charting a proactive life course through safety, support, and life skills.

Board members help guide the vision and purpose of our work by: supporting the executive director, ensuring effective planning, monitoring and strengthening services and programs, ensuring adequate financial resources, providing proper financial oversight, ensuring legal and ethical integrity, and enhancing the organization's public standing.

New Day serves disconnected, marginalized, and / or homeless youth between the ages of 12-22 by providing safety (Safe Home crisis shelter & Transitional Living Program), support (detention diversion & school-based therapy), and skills (Life Skills Academy).
