Description of the Volunteer Opportunity:
You will meet with an immigrant 2 hours a week to tutor English. No prior teaching experience or foreign language necessary. We will train you in ProLiteracy English as a Second Language tutoring methodology. Our clients come from over 12 countries and 5 continents. Orientation: Sept. 13; 2 days of training: Sept. 14 & Sept. 21. Application, background check and references required. This is a wonderful opportunity.

Immigrants and low income adults who reside in Bernalillo County.

We ask for a 6 month commitment to the program. Most of our volunteers love it so much they tutor for years.
