Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

• Manage annual marketing calendar in collaboration with Marketing Consultant and Board member.
• Show rental venue to prospective clients, answer questions and provide necessary information to book the property.
• Manage venue bookings with online system and provide customer service to renters.
• Plan annual profile raising events for PCC with support from CEO and Board of Directors
• Provide regular reports to the CEO and Board on the status of the enterprise
• Develop marketing material for PCC profile raising events and general marketing purposes
• Reach out to the community to raise the profile of PCC
• Attend local networking events to promote PCC and related events

The YWCA has been supporting women locally for OVER 100 YEARS for our mission eliminate racism, empower women and promote peace, justice and dignity for all. YWCA will seek to increase equity and access to empower women of all ages. We will achieve this by focusing on racial and social justice through education, advocacy, and professional and economic development.

Nonprofit Will Provide: 

This internship is an opportunity to work with a long-standing and prominent organization in the community and develop our social enterprise. The intern will have the opportunity to develop necessary skills in non-profit management, fund development, and entrepreneurship. There is also the opportunity to be involved in the event planning, marketing, and communications. The intern will work closely with the CEO and the Board of Directors to understand how to manage and operate a non-profit.

Additional Requirements: 

• Related experience in sales and event planning, marketing or communications
• Must be computer literate
• An effective communicator, written and oral
• Ability to communicate in a professional manner with press and community contacts.
• Self-motivated, good organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Interest in development/fundraising.
