Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

Barrett Foundation has a lovely backyard with a small community garden for the women and children in the shelter. We need regular yard maintenance along with weed control. We also have four composting bins that need regular turning and management. Setting up a composting plan for the shelter would be ideal. We are looking for weekly volunteer(s) for a couple of hours. This can be one person every week or up to four people who each take a week a month.

The women and children who are guests in our shelter will be positively impacted by a lovely yard and fresh fruit and vegetables for the kitchen.
