Dates Volunteer is Needed:
On-line training and orientation in mid-March and agency presentations in early April
Description of the Volunteer Opportunity:
Our Volunteers:
• Help Community Fund dollars reach our most vulnerable neighbors
• Connect with our community, and learn more about the hard work being done to address challenges
• Contribute to real and lasting change in central New Mexico
What To Expect If You Volunteer:
• You will review nonprofit requests for funding as part of a Grant Review Panel of five to seven members.
• You choose to review a larger or smaller number of proposals, depending on availability and interest in a particular issue area. You are not required to have subject matter expertise.
• You must complete online training and orientation in mid-March, then review proposals on your own in mid- to late-March.
• You will attend agency presentations at UWCNM (one or two half-days depending on the selected level of engagement) in late March and early April.
• With your panel, you will convene in mid-April to communicate you funding recommendations to UWCNM.
Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project:
Through the combined gifts of thousands of donors, millions are invested in programs that strengthen families, provide education, eliminate hunger, prevent family violence and serve seniors and those homeless, disabled or ill. Volunteers ensure donor gifts are invested wisely, providing support for the most needed services in our community.
