Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

• General admin and archivist intern. The Southwest Women’s Law Center is looking for an intern for general administrative support and a special archive project to preserve the Center’s history and work.
• General office administrative work, including answering phones and collecting intake information
• Evaluate, select and arrange archive materials
• Inventory and organize paperwork
• Re-house, label and prepare materials for long-term storage
• Organize and scan documents for digital archive
• Create and update project documentation

Ideal candidates will be:
• Inquisitive
• Methodical and logical
• Organized, with excellent administrative skills
• IT-literate
• Able to work in a team
• Excellent verbal communicator
• Able to carry out independent research
• Forward-thinking, with an ability to anticipate and prepare for changing uses of archived information
