Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

Guest Chefs prepare dinner for families (60 people) staying at the Ronald McDonald House. Without the burden of grocery shopping and cooking, families have more time, energy and resources to devote to the care of their child in the hospital. Meals give added nourishment and allow families to take a small break from their hospital duties. Meals are prepared by talented volunteers and groups.

New Mexico families with critically ill children who travel to Albuquerque for essential medical care not available in their own community.

Kitchen has three work stations and is equipped with pots, pans, bakeware and cooking utensils.

Food Safety trainings are held monthly by staff and are required prior to initial volunteer night.
