Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

Join us as we apply mud plaster to the restored ancestral adobe homes that surround the central plazas of Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo. A fun family experience and a chance to participate in an age-old construction practice. Work with tribal members and other volunteers to make a difference. The materials are harvested locally and mixed on site. Skilled masons will be there to get you started. It is easy and fun for all ages.

Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project: 

The families that live in the Pueblo as well as the entire Ohkay Owingeh tribe. The plazas serve as the sacred core and cultural center of the tribe and are the location of all the dances and Feast Days.
