Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

Do you value community ownership of public spaces, conservation education, public art, and history? Join the Yardmasters and participate in gardening and horticultural activities with environmentally conscious volunteers. You will learn about gardening, xeric landscapes, and join community members contributing to Santa Fe’s largest, cultivated city park.

Join the Yardmasters every Tuesday and Thursday morning. Hours vary according to the season: Fall/Spring - 9:00-11:00 am; Summer-8:00-10:00 am; Winter- 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. We meet at the Railyard Park Community Room which is located directly behind SITE Santa Fe. Please use this link for its location. http://www.railyardpark.org/park-plaza/directions

Gardening tools, water, and work gloves are provided. All levels of gardening skills are welcome and all members of our diverse community are included.

Tools, work gloves, and water are provided or you can bring your own. We will train those who have little or no experience gardening.

Additional Requirements: 

Must be able to sit, squat, bend, reach, grab, and pull. Must come prepared to work outdoors. Tasks will be age appropriate and based on one's abilities.
