Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

The Railyard Stewards is the nonprofit conservancy organization responsible for the specialized horticultural care and public programming at the Railyard Park. Every Tuesday and Thursday, the Yardmaster volunteers work with Railyard Stewards staff to care for the plants and gardens throughout the 13 acre public park for 2 hours each day. Tools and gloves are provided for those who do not have or want to use their own. If one likes to work outdoors, with others, and get one's hands dirty while learning about plants and gardens, this is a good opportunity!

Additional Requirements: 

Dress ready to work outdoors, with plants, soil, water, and tools. Protection from the sun is highly recommended. The ability to stoop, bend, reach, kneel, and pull are necessary.
