Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

Duke City Wheelmen can use your help at aid stations for cyclists participating in our fundraiser cycling event.
Duke City Wheelmen will provide everything you need to assist cyclists during the event. Volunteers will staff the aid station and be prepared in case any mishap occurred. Volunteers may also be able to help with registration, sweeping the course and with other aspects of promoting and running an non-competative cycling event, as interest and time allow. A short training will be held before the event.

Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project: 

Cyclists will be able to come together, in support of Duke City Wheelmen and their safe cycling activities. This event will also provide a safe environment in which to enjoy cycling. For many, it will help them explore a new region of NM, with this event that starts in Grants and finishes near the top of Mt. Taylor.

Training, t-shirts, all supplies necessary, sunscreen, shade structure, food and drinks for volunteers.

Additional Requirements: 

Comfortable shoes, clothes, a sun-hat and a cell phone (if possible). If volunteers have any special requirements of considerations, please make those known ahead of time. Transportation to and from Grants may be arranged with prior notice.
