Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

Volunteers have the opportunity to greet local or out-of-town visitors to Museum. They can choose to give the visitor a personal intro to Museum and our exhibits, and to guide them through exhibits. Volunteer training/orientation is available. Museum brochures/booklets are available to acquaint all volunteers with Museum's exhibits and highlights. If interested, volunteers also have the opportunity to become Museum docents. Volunteers also serve as greeters and may be asked to help docents with tours for school age students who visit the Museum on field trips.

Local residents, out of towners, school age students will be impacted by their visit to the Museum whose exhibits and content are of a sensitive nature while educational and meaningful.

We offer refreshments to volunteers and a friendly environment. We offer coffee, beverages, snacks, have a microwave and refrigerator for your convenience. Free parking in lot across the street with parking pass that we provide.

Additional Requirements: 

Volunteers can dress casually. They should be friendly and welcoming and be good with school age students.
