Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

Family Development Program’s J.U.N.K. in a Trunk Learning through Play Workshops is a professional volunteer supported program which offers free professional development workshops throughout Bernalillo and Sandoval Counties. Our volunteers are highly trained and come from vast educational experiences and backgrounds.

Volunteer Play Advocates will provide free interactive play workshops to early childhood educators, professionals, and families.

Nonprofit Will Provide: 

All necessary training and supports to provide high quality community workshops. Continuous professional development opportunities.

Additional Requirements: 

Belief that young children learn through play
Background in child development (preferred)
Experience with children
Comfortable with public speaking
Willing to make a 2 year commitment and be able to present 5 workshops a year.
