Every Monday during the 2016 summer from 4.00 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.

Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

Tutor children of refugee parents whose ages range from 2 years to 18 yrs. Requires compassion, understanding, patience, unconditional love and a desire to help children who come to New Mexico some of whom have never taken any classes in English. One on one tutoring. We require people to attend orientation background checks are conducted.

Vulnerable and "at risk" children and families who are Immigrant, Refugee families and other vulnerable local New Mexicans.

Training (There is a training happening this Saturday June 25th 2016) and general support and guidance

Additional Requirements: 

Opportunities as follows:
• Tutoring on Mondays from 4.00 p.m. to 05.30 p.m.
• Adult tutoring of adults who are illiterate even in their own languages ( ESL certification required)
• Cultural Sensitivity and flexibility a plus
