Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

NMCAN seeks individuals interested in serving on the Governing/Foundation Board. Specifically, a lawyer and/or accountant would be helpful as we just lost the lawyer and accountant who were serving on our Board to term limits. An annual contribution is requested of Board members to be an amount that is significant to each member and at their own discretion. The contribution is on a "give-or-get" basis.

New Mexico youth aging out of the foster care system will reap the benefits of your work serving on this Board. Year-round advocacy as well as during the legislative session when policy initiatives are sought affects all youth in the state.

Nonprofit Will Provide: 

Meetings six times per year and an annual retreat. There are other year-round functions and events offered, but that are not mandatory.
