Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

We receive many short videos of varying quality from our animal welfare partners in Africa, as well as in Jamaica, Honduras, and Armenia. We would like to find a creative volunteer who can merge videos, edit them, intersperse with still photos, add music, voice, and captions. The purpose of the videos varies from marketing/fundraising to general information, to be used on social media, on our website, or for presentations. Our most immediate need is for a video about Uganda Society for the Protection & Care of Animals, as a fundraising tool to raise money to purchase a larger plot of land for their shelter.

Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project: 

The videos will help AKI raise money for and awareness of the work of our animal welfare partners in poor countries (Uganda, Tanzania, Liberia, Ghana, Liberia, South Sudan, Honduras, Jamaica, Armenia). The ultimate beneficiaries are the dogs, cats, donkeys, and horses cared for by these organizations, as well as the people who run the local organizations.

Nonprofit Will Provide: 

We will provide the videos and pictures, narrative (which can be edited based on the creator's needs and advice), and we will review it before the product is final. We will be available for ongoing questions, advice, support. The work can be undertaken from anywhere-we have no project office.

Additional Requirements: 

Someone who knows how to merge, edit, and create videos online, who is interested in animal welfare and knows animal welfare "language," and who is interested in international (especially Africa) affairs especially animal welfare overseas.
