Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain leadership experience and build professional connections. As our Assistant Executive Director, you will be working with our Executive Director to handle the operations of the organization. Tasks include building relationships with conservationist organizations and eco-reporters, managing the organization's departments and growth, and overseeing development with a development director.
This is a virtual opportunity that can be completed anywhere with reliable internet access, although we prefer applicants in the Santa Fe or Albuquerque, New Mexico, Boulder or Denver, Colorado, or any major metropolitan area with preferences for San Francisco, Seattle, Boston, and Washington DC. However, we will consider any viable candidate's location during the selection process. Our Assistant Executive Director will work under the supervision of our Executive Director.

Additional Requirements: 

We are looking for applicants with fundraising experience, including grant writing and proven success in sponsorship development. In addition, the ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Business, a Master's in Business, or be financially savvy.
