Description of the Volunteer Opportunity:
Our museum is largely staffed and maintained by volunteer power, and we want YOU to join our family! If you have a passion for history, advocacy, human rights, or social justice, this may be just the right opportunity for you. At the Holocaust and Intolerance Museum of New Mexico, we believe we can combat hate and intolerance around the world through educating our youth and community about instances of prejudice, hate, bullying, and genocide in humanity's past and present.
We are seeking volunteers to:
1) assist our docents in receiving and presenting to student and community groups
2) welcome visitors and manage the front desk
3) catalog and maintain our library and study center
4) be thought partners in designing and creating new exhibits
5) assist with school outreach strategy and marketing
6) support administrative staff.
Additionally, volunteers always have opportunities to contribute their unique gifts and talents to museum operations and development.
Areas of Interest:

Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project:
Our museum welcomes thousands of visitors annually, many of them local school children. By volunteering with our museum, you are providing critical education for New Mexico's youth, encouraging understanding, peace-building, and social justice in the next generation. Your work at the museum will directly facilitate discussion and action that will change the world.
