Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

Building Futures & Foundations Mentoring Project is an innovative program where committed and well-trained volunteers are matched with young people, ages 14-21, who have either aged out of foster care or are at-risk of doing so. Many of these young people want an adult in their lives who they can rely on for guidance. By supporting our young people in a long-term mentoring relationship they gain stability, confidence and the comfort of knowing someone cares.

The youth in our program were taken into foster care and never reunified with family. At age 18 they leave the system without the experiences and opportunities necessary to become successful adults.

Building Futures & Foundations is a strong partner in supporting the development and longevity of these relationships. We provide our mentors and mentees with 24 hour crisis support, on-going training, monthly group events and much more. You won’t be in it alone!
