Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

AFMX welcomes volunteers to join our team for the 7th annual event. Volunteers are needed for registration, merchandise booth, panels, after parties and working with venue managers during film screenings at the Kimo and Dyna Theaters. Volunteering is a great way to meet like-minded people and experience the world of film and music firsthand! Our mission is to bring together award-winning and up-and-coming filmmakers and musicians from around the world to showcase and celebrate film and music, and provide a platform for education, collaboration, discovery and the sharing of impactful stories.

AFME Foundation will provide each volunteer a pass for the festival and the opportunity to network with amazing people who participate.

The foundation produces the annual Albuquerque Film & Music Experience and provides scholarships, internships, financial contributions and support to students and up-and-coming New Mexico filmmakers, artists and musicians who, otherwise, may never pursue their college education or realize their artistic dreams. With so many talented students of the arts in the Land of Enchantment, our goal is to offer assistance in earning degrees in their respective field of study, further their careers and keep them, and their talents, right here in New Mexico.

Additional Requirements: 

We ask that volunteers sign up for at least three shifts during the week of AFMX in order to receive a festival pass. The pass allows access to films, music events, panel discussions, intimate conversations with talent, and access to after parties.
