Description of the Volunteer Opportunity:

PEEC operates a brand new award-winning nature center in Los Alamos with a 70-seat Planetarium using state of the art technology to put on night sky and other media shows. We're looking for a few volunteers to operate the projectors, greet attendees and give brief introductory presentations. The space is wonderful, the people are excited to be there, the shows are interesting and it's a fun position, so bring your love of astronomy and technical skills to The Nature Center Planetarium!

Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project:

Planetarium shows are for the public and our current night sky shows and media presentations are family-suitable for children and adults. We do not recommend Planetarium shows for children 3 and under because some younger kids can get overwhelmed by the size of the imagery on the dome screen.
