Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

A Katie's Kart volunteer is a representative and extension of Ronald McDonald House Charities of New Mexico within the hospital, who not only provides a much needed service for families but also brings the Ronald McDonald House to families in their time of need.

Volunteers will be responsible for: Following all hospital and House rules and codes of conduct including personal health guidelines; greeting families and hospital staff; stocking supplies on the cart after use; communicate inventory needs to RMHC-NM; cleaning and organizing cart; tracking visitors as they use the cart amenities; record volunteer hours on proper forms for RMHC-NM and Lovelace; comply with Lovelace and RMHC-NM health and training requirements; act as an ambassador for RMHC-NM, appropriately communicating the mission and purpose of the organization.

Personable, patient, flexible good communicator; Resourceful/able to work independently; Meets physical requirements/walk/stand up to 2 hrs/day, push cart, bend/reach low; Respect privacy/confidentiality of all guests and agency information; Maintain positive/cooperative relationships with staff, families, donors and stakeholders;
