Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

Cloud Dancers Therapeutic Horsemanship uses activities with horses to contribute positively to the cognitive, physical, emotional and social well-being of children and adults with disabilities. We need volunteer Board members who have the time, energy and expertise to help us move forward. We offer fun, challenging and rewarding work in both policy and operations issues as we transition from a “mom and pop” operation to a “Business with Heart.” Our needs include a lawyer, a fundraising expert, and a person with experience working with individuals with disabilities. If you have two hours a week on average to commit to making a difference to individuals with disabilities, and want to experience the rewards that come with giving to others, please give Nancy Wilkins a call 505-858-3163. We offer challenging work in a fun, rewarding and energized atmosphere of horses, children and adults with disabilities. We serve good food at board meetings. Our motto "Improving Lives with Every Ride" applies to everyone who works or volunteers with us.

Additional Requirements: 

- Legal work-- human resources, contracts & leases to insurance and more.
- Fundraiser - Develop annual FR plan (small business, corporate and individual donor recruiting & nurturing, sponsors, events, campaigns).
- Expertise with people with disabilities--Develop contacts, recruit riders, provide guidance on disability issues; develop training for working with people with disabilities.
