Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

Parents Reaching Out (PRO) is a 35year+ organization serving NM families of children and youth with disabilities or complex medical conditions. The BOD supports the work of PRO and provides mission-based leadership and strategic governance. PRO’s Board Members serve a two-year term. Board meetings are held quarterly in Albuquerque and may be joined by Zoom outside of the metro area. Parents of children (up to age 26) eligible for special education are particularly encouraged to apply. Ideal candidates will have a commitment to and understanding of family concerns in New Mexico, a commitment to inclusion and diversity and the highest levels of personal integrity.
