Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

(3) Treasurer and Assistants. The Treasurer, or an assistant appointed by the ACG Board, will chair the Finance Committee, prepare the agenda for Committee meetings, report on financial procedures to the Committee, present monthly financial reports to the Board, sign disbursements in accordance with the procedures outlined in Appendix B to these Standing Rules, and attend the annual audit meeting.

A Child’s Garden Preschool (ACG), is committed to providing a developmentally appropriate learning environment for a diverse population of young children respectful of the individual needs, cultural heritage and identity of each child.
ACG is a fully inclusive program that accepts children of all abilities, of all backgrounds and all socio-economic levels.

Monthly meeting are usually held on the third Wednesday of the month from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Board MEmbers take turns providing lunch for the group. We also have a bookkeeper who provides the financial statements to the Treasurer for review and approval prior to them being released to the Board for approval.

Additional Requirements: 

Current or retired Certified Public Accountant preferred. Please see the attached file, our Standing Rules, for all of the Board Requirements and policies.
