Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

We are looking to fill vacant seats on our Board of Directors. The seats need to be filled with people who want to make a difference in our community. ASLHC has been providing help to the children and adults who have been diagnosed as hard of hearing or have a speech/language disorder since 1953. The person(s) will need to be available once a month for the general meetings and more often during special events.

Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project: 

We help children and adults of all ages. As a non-profit communication diagnostic and treatment facility, our services include: speech, language and hearing diagnostic evaluations, and therapy. We help people with a variety of communication disorders: hearing loss, ALS, brain injury, stroke, dementia or Huntington’s disease, apraxia of speech, language delays, autism, stuttering or voice issues.
