Dates Volunteer is Needed:
Description of the Volunteer Opportunity:
Food is Free Albuquerque believes that fresh food is a human right. We strive to close the gap between those hungriest in our community with an abundant source of fresh, local foods: backyard fruit trees. In 2019 we have gleaned over 13,000 pounds and have lofty goals for 2020. Other programs that further our mission include: a Community Food Forest installation, Front Yard Gardens project, fruit tree tracking, and our annual Seed Share.
We need people who:
• Work as a part of a cohesive team.
• Share skills and expertise.
• Respect and support the majority decisions of the board.
• Volunteer and assist in FIFABQ's programs and events, including fundraising efforts.
• Participate actively in board meetings, actions, fundraisers and public events.
• Act as a Donor, a Door Opener, and/or be a Doer.
• Attend monthly meetings.
