Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

The Friends of Valle de Oro NWR are in search of Board Members. The Friends of VDO is the non-profit support group to the US Fish and Wildlife Managed Refuge here in the beautiful South Valey of Albuquerque. We are looking for Board Members to serve as "at large" members as well as a couple of Board Members that would be willing and able to move up to Executive Board positions as the timing is right.

Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project: 

The local community as a whole and the Refuge. The Refuge is set to open the brand-new Visitor Center and continue with the rest of the Habitat restoration and projects around the Refuge.

An opportunity to work on Nature related issues, educational programs, habitat restoration, strategic planning and be part of building something wonderful. This is a volunteer position that provides a great amount of personal satisfaction.

Additional Requirements: 

You will be asked to serve on at least one of the committees and possibly Chair the committee. Our Board Meetings and the 3rd Monday of each month at 6:00 pm
