Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

The Rape Crisis Center of Central New Mexico is offering an opportunity for our Volunteer Advocate 40 Hour Training. Through this training, volunteers will become a part of our advocacy team and work with survivors of sexual assault to help them find resources and healing.
The training is two weekends long with Friday sessions going from 5:30pm-8pm and Saturday/Sunday sessions going from 9am-5pm.
The training is extensive, but volunteering afterward is rewarding, and the training is an amazing experience on any resume.

Additional Requirements: 

Be stable enough to support someone who is in crisis.
Be at least 18 years of age at the time of training.
Successfully complete the 40-hour training
Have access to a phone.
Make a minimum six-month commitment to the program.
