Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

Global Ties ABQ is looking for Board Members to support the work of Global Ties ABQ and provide mission-based leadership, engage with international visitors and Global Ties ABQ members, and strategic governance.
Specific Board Member responsibilities include:
• Reviewing agenda and supporting materials prior to board and committee meetings
• Approving the Global Ties ABQ annual budget, audit reports, and material business decisions; being informed of, and meeting all, legal and fiduciary responsibilities
• Assisting the Director and board chair in identifying and recruiting other Board Members
• Partnering with the Director and other board members to ensure that board resolutions are carried out
• Serving on committees or task forces and taking on special assignments
• Representing Global Ties ABQ to stakeholders; acting as an ambassador for the organization
