Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

Presbyterian Ear Institute, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, is looking for a volunteer to help assist a teacher in the preschool classroom of 4 students. All of the children either have hearing loss or a speech delay. Responsibilities may include helping 5-6 year-olds with phonics, speaking skills, writing, art and math. Volunteers must be able to pass a background check with CYFD. Looking for someone with patience, passion for helping children and kindness!

Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project: 

Deaf or hard-of-hearing children and children with speech/language issues that range in age from 5 to 6 years old. Our goal is to have children ready to compete with typically developing children by the time they enter mainstream kindergarten or 1st grade.
