Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

Abrazos Family Support Services is looking to expand our Board of Directors. We are seeking individuals who are interested in being engaged in the mission of Abrazos and serving the families in our area. We are looking to add individuals with expertise in Human Resources, Marketing/ Advertising, and/or Accounting/ Finance.

Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project: 

Each year Abrazos serves over 500 children with developmental delays and disabilities in Sandoval County and the NW corridor of Bernalillo County. Our primary services include early intervention (birth-3 years old), respite, and recreational respite for children and youth with autism.

Abrazos' board of directors are open minded and engage in respectful and insightful dialogue regarding the best practices for the agency to ensure the management, employees, and clients feel supported, empowered, and valued. Light refreshments are provided at the quarterly meetings.

Additional Requirements: 

The board term is two years, and our quarterly meetings are held at 6:00pm on the first Wednesday of each new quarter (August, November, February & May) as well as an all-day annual retreat.
