Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

Are you globally-minded, responsible, enthusiastic, and and interested in peacebuilding?

Global One to One is offering a unique volunteer opportunity​ ​to participate in a two week program with 11 Iraqi high school youth leaders who will be in Albuquerque from July 11th through 25th.

To apply,​​ please submit a response of no more than 250 words to the following prompt: “Global peace is only possible when we cultivate empathy and mutual responsibility for each other” Include your contact information, at least one reference from your school, and the days and times you are available​ throughout the duration of the program​.

Applicants should be committed to the 2 week period.​ The application deadline is June 5. Six students will be selected by June 9. To learn more and submit your response: [email protected]

Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project: 

Iraqi youth leaders, Albuquerque high school volunteers, local and international communities will be impacted through this project. These Iraqi students are part of a US Department of State, Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs exchange for young leaders, and Global One to One has been contracted by World Learning to host this group locally.
