Project Description: 

Add bark mulch and pecan shell mulch to several rose beds in the Albuquerque Rose Garden surrounding the Tony Hillerman Library. And perform early fall cleanup of the entire rose garden.

More Details: 

Spreading mulch involves loading it into wheel barrows, hauling it to the rose beds and spreading a 1" layer evenly over the entire bed. Fall cleanup includes weeding, cutting back non-rose plants and picking up fallen leaves.

Nonprofit/Agency will provide: 
The rose society will provide the mulch and equipment for cleaning up the garden. We will also provide refreshments.

Additional Requirements: 
Volunteers should bring scoop shovels, wheel barrows, rakes, gloves and dust-masks. The rose society has a few tools that will be available as well. Volunteers should mark their name on the tools they bring to ensure that the tools go home with their owner.
