Agency Description: 
The Public Academy for Performing Arts serves students in grades 6-12 and is a growing community of parents, teachers, students and administrators working together to shape an environment of academic excellence and artistic creativity.
Position Description: 
The primary powers and duties of the Governing Council are to: • Hire, evaluate and terminate the Executive Director; • Review and approve the budget for PAPA, and any line-item changes to the budget; • Review and approve all policies and procedures for PAPA; • Review and approve facilities plans for PAPA; • Approve the strategic plan for PAPA Interested? Expectations: 
There are significant time requirements involved in being a GC member including: • The ability to participate in a Monday evening, monthly meeting; • The ability to devote time to participate in a GC committee • The ability to make the needs of PAPA known to the greater Albuquerque community
