Agency Description:
Querencia Green will build a network of "green" micro-neighborhoods across Albuquerque where neighbors have high levels of connectedness and many households will engage sustainable (and cost offsetting) practices like weatherization, backyard gardening, rainwater harvesting, recycling, etc. QG will also facilitate sharing, exchange, cooperative efforts and micro-enterprise between neighbors.
Position Description:
We seek "builders" with nonprofit experience who excel at identifying steps to move from vision to manifestation. Professional experience in law, accounting, fundraising, marketing and design welcome. We also seek advisors with professional, entrepreneurial, or community experience in a sustainable field including water, food, energy, housing, and transportation.
Expectations:
Board members will assist Querencia Green founders in refining mission, developing strategy, and incorporating as a nonprofit. Depending on skillset will also contribute legal, financial, or fundraising assistance toward organizational development. Monthly meetings. Advisors will provide guidance in area of expertise, and link QG to their networks of support.
