Shandiin is a not-for-profit early childhood center providing full time and part time care for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. Shandiin is located near Sandia National Laboratories, and serves the general public. Shandiin has been in operation for over a decade, with a focus on personalized care and low teacher-child ratios.
Position Description:
Individuals interested in giving back to their community and enriching the lives of children are sought to become board members for Shandiin Child Development Center. Opportunities for election to officer positions are available. Skills in marketing, financial, legal, or other disciplines are welcomed, but not required.
Expectations:
Attendance at meetings approximately once a month throughout the year. The board is tasked with providing oversight to the business operations of center, coordinating marketing, and conducting long term planning. Occasional participation in events promoting the center or conducting outreach to supporting organizations.
