Agency Description:
Food for Santa Fe hands out approximately 1,000 grocery bags of food each week to clients who are hungry and needy in Santa Fe. There are no requirements for the clients to receive a grocery bag of food. The food contained in a grocery bag provides an average family the equivalent of four meals. We are an all-volunteer organization and have no paid staff.
Position Description:
Our Board members set policy and operating goals for our organization. They are also responsible for effective financial management and for raising sufficient funds to support our operating budget of approximately $180,000 per year.
Expectations:
Our Board meetings are held on the third Thursday of alternating months (i.e. January, March, etc.) from 2:30 p.m. to approximately 3:30 p.m. at the Food Depot conference room located at 1222 Siler Road in Santa Fe.
