Agency Description:
A non-profit agency founded in 1976 to serve the needs of runaway, homeless and at-risk youth. The agency is currently central to our community's response to adolescent's in trouble. We provide shelter, counseling and a life skills academy to help young people develop the skills necessary to live effectively and meaningfully in our community. We also serve as a diversion to detention for those youth who need a service approach rather than a corrections approach.
Position Description:
Board Member for a small but very active and influential Board. We are particlarly interested in developng our donor base, so we are looking for people who are willing and able to help us meet community members who will support our cause.
Expectations:
Monthly Board meetings. Committee work as necessary. Occasional fundraising dinners and other marketing activities. Contact and engagement with the youth is possible if interested.
