Youth Programs Director

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Responsible for coordinating youth programming both at the Wise Fool Studio in Santa Fe and in schools through our Circus Comes to Schools program. This position is both an administrative position, managing existing programs, and a leadership position, which strives to further integrate Wise Fool’s social justice and self-empowerment values into youth programming. Applicants should have a passion for circus and social justice, speak Spanish, and experience with teaching youth.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Qualifications:
• Experience with youth education and curriculum development
• Fluent in Spanish
• Strong oral and written communication skills, using Microsoft Office and social media
• Experience creating and managing budgets
• Strong leadership skills with ability to organize multiple programs
• Involvement in social justice, anti-oppression, and self-empowerment
• Experience teaching/performing circus
• Experience with website and registration software

Other Information/Requirements: 

• Average of 8 hours/week, may vary seasonally. Five of the 8 hours must be worked in the Wise Fool office during specified “office hours”.
• Attendance required at Wise Fool anti-oppression and staff/teacher trainings.
• The Youth Programs Director is encouraged to teach youth and adult classes, taking the position up to a full time position.
