Youth Engagement Coordinator

Full-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Responsible for facilitating and coordinating a robust youth engagement strategy across all BFF opportunities to:
• Conduct outreach to recruit young people
• Conduct youth trainings on various topics
• Provide ongoing support, coaching and guidance
• Connect young people with new opportunities
• Support young people as they advocate for themselves in various systems

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

• Provide ongoing input, information, and materials that support internal and external communication efforts.
• Participate in the continuous quality improvement process for efficacy and programmatic refinements.
• Ensure adherence to data collection requirements.
• Provide ancillary support for other NMCAN projects by coordinating with and supporting colleagues as needed or requested.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and at least 2 years’ experience working with young people. Must have a working knowledge of program development, community organizing and volunteer management. A strong desire for supporting and empowering youth transitioning out of foster care, juvenile justice, and/or homelessness is required.
