Workforce Education Initiative (WEI) Program Manager

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Will build/manage external relations; hire, train and oversee staff while engaging in activities with youth(work crew activities, educational, vocational and employment services, support groups, life skills education, outings and community service projects). Oversee/maintain comprehensive client case files; provide after care services; and complete required reports. Fluency in Spanish highly desired.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

BA in education, criminal justice or related field + one year with youth in the juvenile justice system; proven track record launching a new initiative, seeing it through to success; one year supervisory experience; knowledge of GED and alternative educational programs/workforce initiatives for youth; knowledge of local juvenile justice, court system and community collaborators.

Other Information/Requirements: 

This is a term position for 30 months due to funding. $35,000- $38,000 depending on experience + great benefits (generous leave, medical, dental, IRA, FSA, and AFLAC).Must undergo fingerprinting, criminal records/background check and monthly driving record checks. Current CPR and First Aid certificates, driver’s license and current auto insurance required. Must be insurable under agency auto policy. YS is an EOE, drug free workplace and complies with the ADA.
